Agency (CRVWWDA)?
CRVWWDA is a State Corporation under the Ministry of Water, Sanitation and Irrigation mandated to develop, maintain and manage national public water and sanitation works within the Central Rift Valley region. The Agency implements water and sanitation infrastructure, oversees bulk water supply systems, and supports county governments in service provision.

3. Procurement & Tenders

3.1 Where can I find current tender opportunities?

All open tenders are posted on the Tenders section of the CRVWWDA website and advertised in local newspapers in line with the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act (PPADA 2015).

3.2 Who is eligible to bid for CRVWWDA tenders?

Any qualified individual, company or consortium registered in Kenya and meeting the requirements outlined in the tender document. Special categories such as Youth, Women, and Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) are encouraged to apply under AGPO.

3.3 How can I lodge a procurement complaint?

Complaints can be submitted in writing to the Head of Supply Chain Management. If unresolved, bidders may escalate the matter to the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) or the Public Procurement Administrative Review Board (PPARB).

No. The Agency develops infrastructure, which is then handed over to Water Service Providers (WSPs) under the County Governments for distribution to consumers.

Please contact your local Water Service Provider (e.g., NAWASSCO, NARUWASSCO, OLWASCO, etc.). CRVWWDA only handles the bulk infrastructure.

6.3 Can communities request a new water project?

Yes. Requests can be submitted through County Governments, local leaders or directly to the Agency for assessment during planning.

The Central Rift Valley Water Works Development Agency (CRVWWDA) is one of the nine (9) Water Works Development Agencies in Kenya and was formed under Section 65 of the Water Act, 2016. It was established through Kenya Gazette Notice No. 4 dated 7thFebruary 2020. The region served by the Agency comprise of the five Counties of Nakuru, Narok, Laikipia, Baringo and Nyandarua.
