The Agency’s Ag. Chief Executive Office CPA Dougla Murei hosted a delegation from the County Government of Nandi to engage on water and sanitation matters in Nandi County. The team was led by County Executive Committee Member(CECM) for Water, Natural Resources and Climate Change Dr Philemon Bureti representing the Governor H.E Stephen Sang.
The delegation engaged our team in a lengthy discussion on the implementation of the Nandi Hills Water Supply Project under the Government of Kenya and Africa Development Bank funded Kenya Towns Sustainable Water Supply and Sanitation Program.
The meeting engaged the delegation in insightful discussions on how to fast-track access to water and enhance sanitation for the residents of Nandi County. Equally in their engagement, the two teams looked into beneficial partnership strategies that can eliminate challenges that are affecting the implementation of the pivotal Nandi Hills Water Supply Project and the Kipkarren Dam Water Supply in the neighbouring Uasin Gishu County.
The Agency assured Nandi County of its efforts in sourcing funds for the Last Mile Connectivity as well as incorporation of solar power technology in the effort to reduce the water management expenses of the much-awaited Nandi Hills Water Supply Project.
Also present during the meeting was the Agency’s General Manager-Infrastructure Development and Management Eng. Joseph Salee, Kapsabet Nandi Hills Water and Sanitation Company’s Management Director Alfayo Lel, Technical Manager Gilbert Rotich and Nandi Hills water Scheme Manager Micah Cheruiyot.
